
Hi, I'm Ta-Wana - founder of Barbells and Bandanas LLC, strength coach, fitness instructor, and your biggest supporter on this journey.
I grew up in the south, where hard work, discipline, and community were a way of life. Athleticism has always been in my nature. I started playing softball at the age of 8, and continued all the way through high school. I also played high school basketball, which strengthened my love for competition, teamwork, and resilience.
But sports weren't my only rhythm - I played the clarinet in middle, high school, and marching band and proudly served as a flag girl. Movement, music, and performance have always been part of who I am.
My personal fitness journey began in 2011. What started as a commitment to better myself quickly turned into something bigger - a passion! In 2015, I stepped into teaching group fitness classes, and I've been empowering others ever since.
